About AdCalc

AdCalc is a set of free calculators for the numbers advertisers check every day: CPM, CPC, ROAS, break-even ROAS, CTR and CPA.

How it works

Every calculation runs in your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to a server. Each calculator shows its formula, a worked example you can check by hand, and typical benchmark ranges for context.

Accuracy

The formulas are simple and standard, and each one is covered by automated tests. Every worked example and FAQ figure on the site is also tested against the formulas, so the examples cannot drift out of step with the calculators. If you spot a number that looks wrong, it is a bug we want to fix.

Benchmark figures (typical CPM, CPC, CTR, ROAS and CPA by channel) come from published studies. Each row on a calculator page links to its source and shows the sample and period where the publisher shares them. We prefer large, recent datasets from ad-tech and analytics vendors that publish their sample and period, and we label secondary roundups as such. Where we could not find a current published figure, we left the row out instead of guessing. Sources were last checked in October 2026.

Benchmarks are medians or averages for mostly US advertisers. They shift with industry, season, creative and attribution, so compare against your own account history first.

Not financial advice

The calculators are planning aids. Real campaign results depend on attribution, margins, repeat purchases and many other things a calculator cannot see.

How the site is funded

The calculators are free to use. Some pages may include sponsored links to tools we think are relevant. Those links are always labelled "Sponsored", and we may earn a commission if you sign up. Sponsored links do not change the calculations.
